All the Time in the World: A Book of Hours

Drumroll! Trumpets! I am so excited about the launch of my new book, treatment All the Time in the World: A Book of Hours, which comes out next week!

It is a followup to Encyclopedia of the Exquisite, but while my first book was inspired by the encyclopedias of the Renaissance, this one takes its cues from the Medieval book of hours.

Picking up where the last book left off, it delves into the many varieties of whimsical delights pleasure seekers have pursued throughout history. It’s an agenda turned upside down in favor of the impractical and the ephemeral: drinking hot cocoa, taking a nap, waltzing until dawn, while providing an antidote to the contemporary cult of “getting things done.”

I truly hope that you will enjoy it.
