Taking Up the Pen

Somehow, in the lazy heat of the summer, I neglected to post a New York Times Book Review piece I wrote about the history of handwriting. I had already decided to go back to writing by hand, whenever I can. But after writing about the intricate beauties of good penmanship, I’ve been gazing at my own quite critically ever since.
